SOIL FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT

Soil genesis, commonly termed pedogenesis, is the complex process by which soils are formed. This continuous transformation involves the interaction of numerous factors, including climate, topography, parent material, vegetation, and time. These factors act in a collective manner to mold the physical, chemical, and biological properties of soil.
